3. Trucks: 9/25/09; 6:45 p.m.; Rexburg, ID; f5.0; 1/320; FinePix F10.

4. Banff: 11/22/07; 2:40 p.m.; Banff, AB; f5.6; 1/640; FinePix F10.

5. Sun Set: 9/25/09; 6:35 p.m.; Rexburg, ID; f4.0; 1/320; FinePix F10; -1 Exposure Compensation.

For these pictures I wanted to get out into the country side a little, so I followed Main Street out of Rexburg. I found all kinds of interesting landscapes and still life to shoot. When I arrived back in Rexburg and was heading home I saw a really rich sun set in my rear view mirror. I took several pictures of the sun set with different adjustments to the exposure compensation. I will have to play around with these pictures again when I learn HDR. The other picture I took several years ago in Banff, the famous national park in Alberta, Canada (home).

  1. Wow! These pictures are amazing! The light and everything is just awesome!
I'm excited to learn about HDR too. I think that would have been a great thing to know for your last sunset picture. I love the closeup of the fence and how you kinda made it frame the picture. It has a nice effect. Your letters are cool too. I like the winter one the best.
Keep up the good work! You're doing amazing!

  2. I love the fence shot this just has an awesome feel to it. I also love the mountains with the sun going down. Way cool. I love shots with the rays of suns in them. The other sunset shot wasn’t my favorite because I felt the picture was really dark and really heavy on the right side.

  3. I love the fence with the blurred background in it. It looks sweet and it's a great angle. You did really well at capturing your light in all your photos. The composition of the truck photo is really neat too. Great work.

  4. Wow, wow, wow, photo number four totally looks like a webshots photo. That would make a great screensaver. The second photo has a great focal point and lines. The first I think lacks color and therefore looksmore bland than if it had more color.
I wish I could see a little more on the fifth one also, cause it's kinda in the dark, but great shots.
